Just a quick question - what’s up with the track release? Does it really help get through the cold nights knowing some of my most anticipated albums this year are almost, but not quite, complete and ready for my admiration? According to themselves, Tokyo Police Club has finished recording their first full length album titled Elephant Shell due in late April. It includes the track ‘Your English Is Good’ a previously released summer single, and a lead off track entitled Centenial. Although apparently “second albums are hard,” the TCP boys assure us they’ll give us something new with this Saddle Creek debut. “But when the partys over, and you’re giving a ride home to the girl you have a crush on, thats when you put Elephant Shell on. Its the record that you listen to when you’re driving around town in the dark, wondering if she likes you, wondering if you should have tried to flirt more, or less.” But still wicked danceable… of course.
Similarly, Tapes ‘n Tapes have announced a track listing of their new one Walk It Off, due out April 8th. Seems there is a lot to look forward to this spring, is addition to not freezing your tukus off.
